Janell Decker
Senior Marketing Manager
Faegre Baker Daniels

Q: Why did you join the local steering committee?
A: I was new to legal marketing when I joined Faegre Baker Daniels almost seven years ago. I was encouraged by my manager at the time to attend monthly programs and was soon asked to join the program committee. From there involvement and leadership opportunities increased, along with visibility within my firm as an engaged and committed legal marketing professional. I have made incredible personal and professional connections—not always an easy task for an introvert!—and have expanded my network nationally as a direct result. Joining the LMA steering committee has been one of the most fulfilling professional decisions that I have made in my career.

Q: Favorite TV Show?
A: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Cranky Jerry Seinfeld at his best.

Q: Favorite Restaurant
A: Was Heyday on Lyndale which is now closed (sad!). Any suggestions on a new favorite??

Q: Best Advice You’ve Ever Received?
A: Do not suffer in silence. If you are struggling with a project ask for help/guidance.

Q: Favorite Non-Work Activity?
A: In the spring-winter-summer hanging out in my three-season porch. Mostly because it is the only room in our 100+ year old house that is actually finished!
